WhatsApp is now adding loads of new features to the app in order to enhance user experience. WhatsApp is emulating Apps like Twitter and Instagram which have already got the message reaction feature for its users. Facebook owned WhatsApp announced it is all set to get this feature.
This feature will let you react to the messages with emojis which is pretty much similar to how you react to different posts on Facebook.
On Instagram, you need to long-press on a message and then select from any emojis that will pop-up. Once you have selected the one of your choice, the person whose message you have replied will get a notification for the same reaction. It is expected that WhatsApp will introduce this feature in a same manner.
It is still not confirmed that whether the choice of emojis will be different from Instagram and Facebook or will it be similar.
Only users with upto-date WhatsApp versions will be able to access this feature. an alert will be sent each time someone sends a reaction to a message to someone who is using an outdated version of the messaging app.
This feature is expected to be first introduced to Android operating system users before it can be rolled out to IOS and other operating systems.
